How a safety audit actually runs

People are right to be sceptical of “we tested it” claims. Here is the exact procedure, so you can repeat it yourself if you want to.

Network security analysis on a laptop
  1. 1

    Isolate

A disposable virtual machine with a clean browser profile, no saved credentials and traffic logging enabled.

  2. 2

    Record the chain

Every redirect, every third-party request and every script origin is logged from the first click to the player frame.

  3. 3

    Provoke the overlays

We click where a normal viewer clicks. Fake player updates, “allow notifications” traps and forced downloads all surface here.

  4. 4

    Check the paperwork

Certificate issuer and age, domain registration date, hosting provider, and how many near-identical mirrors share the fingerprint.

  5. 5

    Write it in plain English

A short verdict describing observed behaviour. No score, no affiliate link, no “visit site” button.

Service FAQ

Before you ask

No. All five services are published free on this site. We are funded by a small number of labelled partnerships, and none of them influence a safety verdict or a rights listing.

Yes, within reason. Send it through the contact form with “Safety audit request” selected. We prioritise domains that are widely shared, and we publish the result rather than replying privately, so everyone benefits.

We will tell you who legally holds the rights in your country, including free-to-air windows, which are far more common than most people assume. We will not point you to an unauthorised stream.

We do occasional consulting for publishers and rights holders on stream integrity and viewer safety. Use the contact form and select “Partnership”.
