1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms and Conditions form a binding agreement between you and StreamEast governing your use of https://streameastca.com and everything published on it. By accessing any page of this site you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
Please also read the Privacy Policy, the Disclaimer, the DMCA Notice and the Cookie Policy. Together with this document they make up the complete agreement between us.
2. Definitions
- “Site” means https://streameastca.com and all of its pages, assets and downloadable files.
- “Content” means every article, schedule, table, graphic, layout and piece of code published on the Site.
- “You” means any person or entity accessing the Site, including automated agents acting on their behalf.
- “Third-party service” means any website, platform, broadcaster or application that is not operated by us.
3. The nature of this service — read this section first
StreamEast is an editorial and informational publication. That description is precise and the following consequences follow from it:
- We do not host, store, cache, transmit, restream, embed, index, aggregate or otherwise make available any audio or video broadcast of any sporting event.
- We do not operate a media player, a stream directory or a link aggregator, and we do not publish links to unauthorised streams.
- We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to any league, club, federation, broadcaster, rights holder or streaming service, nor with any aggregator or mirror domain that uses a similar name to this publication.
- We sell no subscriptions, take no payments from readers and operate no account system.
- All trade marks, club badges, competition names and broadcaster names referred to on the Site belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively, for identification and commentary only.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction if that is higher, to use the Site. By using it you represent that you meet this requirement and that your use complies with the laws that apply to you. Copyright, broadcasting and communications law differs substantially between countries; it is your responsibility, not ours, to know what applies where you are.
5. Licence to use the site
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the Site and to view, print and download Content for your own personal, non-commercial use. This licence does not permit you to republish Content, to sell or sub-licence it, to reproduce it systematically, or to use it to train a commercial machine learning model without our prior written permission.
6. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the Content is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by copyright and related rights. The layout, stylesheets, scripts and structure of the Site are likewise protected.
Quotation and citation are welcome. You may quote up to 150 words from any article provided you attribute the quotation to StreamEast and link to the page you took it from. You may not reproduce an article in full, translate it and republish it, or present our research as your own.
Photographs are licensed from their respective sources under the licences those sources grant. Club badges, league logos and broadcaster marks remain the property of their owners; nothing on this Site transfers any right in them.
7. User submissions
When you send us a message, a correction, a coverage request or a tip, you keep ownership of what you sent. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use it for the purpose of responding to you and, where relevant, of correcting or improving our published Content. If we publish a correction based on your submission, we will credit you by name only if you ask us to.
You must not send us anything that infringes someone else's rights, is unlawful, or contains malware. Do not send us confidential information you are not entitled to disclose.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in furtherance of copyright infringement;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its hosting infrastructure or any connected system;
- introduce malware, conduct denial-of-service activity, or probe for vulnerabilities without a written invitation (responsible disclosure reports, on the other hand, are genuinely welcome — see section 18);
- scrape the Site at a rate that degrades it for other readers, or circumvent rate limiting;
- frame, mirror or re-host the Site so that it appears to be yours;
- misrepresent your affiliation with us, or use our name or marks in a way that implies endorsement;
- use the Site to build, train or fine-tune a commercial machine learning model without written permission.
9. Third-party links and references
We reference third-party services — broadcasters, leagues, standards bodies, privacy tools — when it is useful to a reader. Those references are not endorsements, we do not control those services, and their terms and privacy policies govern your use of them. We do not link to unauthorised streaming sites, and we do not knowingly link to a domain that has failed our safety audit.
Where a commercial relationship exists with a linked service, it is labelled on the page in question. Unlabelled links carry no commercial relationship.
10. Availability, changes and accuracy
We aim to keep the Site available but guarantee no particular uptime. We may add, change, suspend or remove any part of the Site at any time, including whole articles, without notice.
Fixture times, rights allocations, prices and legal positions change frequently. We correct errors promptly when we learn of them and date the correction, but you should always confirm a kick-off time or a rights holder with the relevant official source before relying on it.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and the Content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, nor that any information on it is complete or current.
Nothing on this Site is legal advice. Articles about the legality of streaming describe general positions in general terms and cannot account for your circumstances or jurisdiction. Consult a qualified lawyer.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, nor for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or anticipated savings, arising from or connected with your use of the Site, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statutory duty or otherwise, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Site is limited to one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD 100).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case the exclusions apply only to the extent permitted there.
In particular, and without limiting the above, we accept no liability for any loss arising from your use of a third-party streaming service, including malware infection, fraud, data loss, device damage or any claim brought against you by a rights holder.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Site, or your infringement of any third-party right. We will notify you of any such claim and will not settle it without consulting you.
14. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: minimal collection, no sale, no behavioural advertising, no tracking cookies.
15. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or block access to the Site where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, where access is causing technical harm, or where we are legally required to. You may end this agreement at any time by ceasing to use the Site. Sections 6, 11, 12, 13, 16 and 17 survive termination.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident in the EEA or the United Kingdom, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your local law and may bring proceedings in your local courts.
Before litigating, both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution by writing to the other with a description of the dispute and allowing 30 days for a response.
17. General provisions
- Entire agreement. These terms, with the policies referenced in section 1, are the entire agreement between us regarding the Site.
- Severability. If a provision is held unenforceable, it is modified to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder stands.
- No waiver. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these terms. We may assign ours as part of a reorganisation or sale of the publication, with notice on this page.
- No partnership. Nothing here creates a partnership, agency or employment relationship.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
- Changes. We may update these terms; the “last updated” date reflects the current version and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
